Founders' Day Celebration

West Chester Township is celebrating its bicentennial this year with a Founders Day Celebration June 1-4. On June 3rd West Chester Presbyterian will participate in the Olde West Chester Founders Day Walk. West Chester Presbyterian Church has the distinction of being the longest continuous congregation for 152 of the 200 years of the township’s existence.

We will be participating in this event by opening our doors to share the history and heritage of West Chester Presbyterian Church in the community. Various groups will be hosting stations throughout the day with displays, food and activities. The history of our church will be playing on a video in the sanctuary. The Christian Education Committee will offer activities for children and adults, similar to Messy Church, and have a display of programs the church has to offer families. A display of the many missions and outreach we participate with will be provided by the Mission Committee. Food and concessions will be provided by the Choir, Deacons, and Fellowship Committee. Our Youth Group will provide face painting and host a bake sale. We will be offering free water and restroom facilities to the public.

Many hands make light work; many hands will be needed to make this event a success. Please sign up here to volunteer, or fill out the volunteer form.
